Students who are in a Family and Consumer Science class, or were in a FACS class in the past year, can become a member of FCCLA! (At Bagdad High-School, there is only one FACS teacher--Mrs. Rose)

Administration fee is $25.00

 

Members meet every other Monday during lunch. In these meetings, we discuss what we'll do on campus, what events we will participate in, or our plans for the short-term/long-term future. 

 

Benefits of being a member include; Getting a chef coat w/your name on it, Receiving a Chapter T-shirt, Being able to travel off campus for Catering and Competitions, Getting able to eat food, & even receiving an FCCLA Polo from our Chapter.

 

Throughout the year, current members are encouraged to promote their fellow piers to take the culinary class, because if you take the class, you're automatically a member of FCCLA. When retaining members, we try to cover all age groups by planning field trips that not only the upperclassman would be interested in; For example, near the end of the year we take all of our FCCLA members to the Wet n' Wild Waterpark to thank them for all their hard work during catering and competitions. To recognize members, the state of Arizona chooses an FCCLA member of the month, but as a chapter, we recognize our members on social media & at the end of the year in front of the school and the community.
